Indigenous Relations

IronClad Mining is committed to supporting the Indigenous community.  IronClad promotes the employment and provision of contracting opportunities to Indigenous Australians and also encourages its contractors to follow this policy.

A Native Title Mining Agreement between IronClad and the Gawler Rangers Native Title Claim Group was signed on 1 September 2010.  Specific commitments have been made by IronClad in this agreement and include:

• A full-time Indigenous Community Relations Officer will be employed by IronClad
• IronClad will establish an Indigenous Liaison Committee with representatives from the Gawler Rangers Native Title Claim Group
• The Liaison Committee will develop an agreed target for Indigenous employment on the Wilcherry Hill mine
• IronClad will promote contracting opportunities for Indigenous businesses
• Indigenous training and skills development will be supported by IronClad
