IronClad is committed to establishing environmental partnerships with industry, academics and local land conservation managers on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.  IronClad currently fund two major projects for the conservation of federallylisted threatened species, Malleefowl (Leipoa ocellata) and Slender-billed Thornbill (Acanthiza iredalei iredalei).

Malleefowl

IronClad have invested in the local conservation of the federally vulnerable Malleefowl through the funding of an endowment that will see a parcel land managed for the protection of Malleefowl in perpetuity. The Malleefowl Management strategy can be viewed here - Mallefowl Management Strategy Middleback Alliance Offset Area.

Slender-billed Thornbill

IronClad are committed to undertaking scientific research of the federally vulnerable Slender-billed Thornbill (western), overall the research will:

1.    Assess the population trends across space and time of the Slender-billed Thornbill; and
2.    Identify habitat preference and use of the Slender-billed Thornbill on the upper Eyre Peninsula.

This information will be published and may assist in the future management of this species on the Eyre Peninsula. The Slender-billed Thornbill Research Proposal can be viewed here - Slender-billed Thornbill Research Plan.
